Nervous about attending a party?

Here are my thoughts.
Being nervous is a good thing.
Being nervous shows you’re thinking about safety… and that’s a good thing. Safety is important.
All the party rules are about safety. We emphasize confidentiality, consent, health, and inclusion.
Inclusion means: everyone (18+) is invited. All body shapes and sizes. All dick shapes and sizes. All colors, races, religious. No body shaming is permitted!
Apprehension and anticipation
Don’t confuse feeling nervous with feeling excitement or anticipation. Ever been so excited on Christmas Eve that you couldn’t sleep?
“Just get there”
Many people RSVP but get nervous and don’t show up. One person told me he drove all the way to the party, got to the parking lot, turned around, and went home. He missed a great time!
Other people tell me that the nervousness “melts away” once they arrive.
My advice? Focus on getting there. Once you arrive, things will take care of themself.
Hope to see you at the next party!
